I chose to stock Criterion sleeping bags because the weight to warmth ratio is awesome and they’re super ultralight. My Quantum 450 has a comfort rating of -10c and it only weighs 854 grams. This actually takes my regular wild camping kit with the OookMid down to 3.7kg!
Criterion sleeping bags are sewn together using a trapezoid construction which leaves no cold spots. The goose down is ethically sourced from Poland. Polish goose down is arguably the best in the world because the geese don’t migrate, during the winter they ride the lightning, push through, and so grow fine down that keeps them toasty. They’re also not ‘live’ plucked (eek)!
“It were my first wild camp with Chris up in Galloway in Scotland at the weekend, the temperatures were down close to 2 degrees where we were camping, it we’re my first trial using the Criterion Quantum 450 sleeping bag.
I must say I were very impressed, really comfortable and really warm, it were that warm I only needed to wear my boxer shorts when I were sleeping. So even tho the temperature were cold outside I were plenty warm inside.”
